Three awards will be bestowed during the conference.

EFAD 2019 Kellogg Dietetic Research Price

New format of the Kellogg’s Dietetic Research Awards

EFAD is pleased to announce the Kellogg’s Dietetic Research Awards. Kellogg’s recognizes the importance of good nutrition & food science research to advance the future of human health, food security and a sustainable food supply. This year the format is different from the years before: next to the jury award the public can vote at the EFAD conference for its favourite dietetic research. There will be two awards: a Jury Award and a Public Award. Both winners receive 500 euro.

The Jury Award

The judging of research abstracts and selection of award winners will be done by a dedicated EFAD Committee. The judges reserve the right to split the prize or withhold the prize altogether depending on the quality of the work with respect to the judging criteria.

Criteria
The award criteria are as follows:

  • Scientific quality of the study
  • Value to the profession of dietetics
  • Clear and simple execution of abstract / poster
  • Permission to publish the poster and name of the winners on the EFAD website, in the Proceedings of the Conference and other promotional material.

NEW: Public Award: vote for your favourite dietetic research

For the public award, participants can vote during the conference by using the conference app. This year we will have guided poster presentations and we ask the participants to vote just after the presentations.

To secure your chance of winning one of the two prestigious awards, be sure to submit your research abstract before the 20 June deadline. Send in your research, your colleagues will be happy to learn from you!!

EFAD European Honorary Dietetic Fellowship Award

The award of EFAD European Honorary Dietetic Fellowship is EFAD’s highest honour and is reserved for those dietitians who have made a continuous outstanding and significant contribution to the advancement of dietetic practice, research or education, at its broadest level, at a national, European or international level. Honorary EFAD Fellows should also be individuals who are seen to add value to the profession, often through their leadership skills, and have an active ongoing involvement with the EFAD.

EFAD Fellowship is reserved for individuals who have been nominated and supported by their peers in recognition of outstanding professional qualities

EFAD’s Student of the Year Award

EFAD’s Student of the Year Award 2019 was designed to award the highest achieving student studying or graduating in 2018 or 2019. If you are or were a BSc or MSc student of Nutrition and Dietetics in the academic years 2017/2018 or 2018/2019, and if you are a member of a National Dietetic Association or are studying at a Higher Education Institution that is a member of EFAD, then please apply for an opportunity to be named EFAD’s Student of the Year!
